2.fit in 相适应；相融合
•fit in with... 与……合得来；适应
fit into... 适合……
•be fit for/to do sth 适合做某事/胜任做某事
keep fit＝keep healthy 保持健康
eg. (广东卷)He tried as much as he could to fit in but he could not because his mind was at home.　他尽可能地去适应，但是做不到，因为他的心思在家里。
3.preparation n.准备；预备
•make preparations for 为……做好准备
in preparation (for sth) (为某事物)做好准备
•prepare v.使(某人)有准备；准备好；预备
prepare sth for sb 为某人准备某事(物)
prepare sb for sth 某人对某事有所准备
prepare for sth为……做准备
prepare (oneself) to do sth (某人)准备做某事
•prepared adj.准备好的；有所准备的
be/get prepared for/to do sth为(做)某事做好准备
eg. Could you give me some practical advice and guidance in my preparation？(询问信)

4.recommend vt.推荐；建议；介绍；劝告
•recommend doing sth 建议(劝告)做某事
recommend sb to do sth 建议(劝告)某人做某事
recommend that sb (should) do sth 建议某人做某事(从句用虚拟语气)
It is recommended that... 据建议……
•recommend sb sth 向某人推荐某物
recommend sth to sb 把某物推荐给某人
recommend sb for.../as... 推荐某人做……/是……
•recommendation n.[U]推荐；介绍；[C]正式建议；推荐信
a letter of recommendation 推荐信
follow one’s recommendations 听从某人的劝告
eg. It is recommended that the project should not be started until all the preparations have been made.　人们建议所有的准备都做好之后再开始这项计划。
【点拨】　recommend和recommendation后接从句时，从句谓语动词常用虚拟语气，即“should＋动词原形”，should可以省略。
5.comfort n.舒适；安慰 vt.安慰
•in comfort 舒适地；放松地
be a comfort to/for 对……是安慰
•comfort sb for sth 因某事安慰某人
comfort...with... 以……安慰……
•comfortable adj.舒服的；舒适的
comfortably adv.舒适地
