命题解读
应用文是英语中的必考文体，在每年的高考阅读理解中通常出现在A篇位置。应用文一般包括广告、启事、海报、守则、公告、指南、个人简历、备忘录、书信、日记、便条、报告、书报中的简短文章等。目的都是向读者传输信息，直截了当。
从选材上看：此类阅读理解信息量大，形式灵活，用极少的篇幅表达极大的信息。
从内容上看：其内容实用、多样并生活化。其中常出现人名、地名、专有名词，且祈使句、省略句较多。
从结构上看：应用文常用醒目的标题，清晰的条例，粗体字等使文章结构更鲜明。

应用文的类型常常不以单一形式出现，混合两种特色来命题。
解题策略
应用文多以事实细节为主，答题适合运用跳读、寻读的方法。题--文--题 可以高效快速的解题。具体参考以下答题策略：
一 审题干
读标题、小标题和试题，了解试题考点。明确目的，快速捕捉关键词。
二 文中锁定关键词
根据题干关键词迅速回到文中定位答题范围。一般采用“题文同序法”去文中对号入座。同时要注意问题与原文相同或同义替换等细节。（但分析近三年高考应用文真题，会发现常有一道题不一定题文同序）
三 比对细节
对比选项，找出答案，必要时进行词义转换和合理推断。
注意：在遇到生词的时候，如果与题目无关，可以直接略过。如果涉及题目，可以根据语境，构词法和分解句式等猜测词义。
